There’s no better way to beat the winter blues than at this popular winter festival where community members and visitors come together to play, laugh, sing, and dance! This 10-day event boasts a lineup of unique and exciting events at a variety of venues in and around the bustling village of Waterbury.

Waterbury Winterfest is a family-friendly festival featuring indoor and outdoor venues with traditional and not-so-traditional events. There’s snowshoeing, skating, fat tire biking, and cross-country skiing, as you might expect during a winter festival. But in keeping with Waterbury’s enthusiastic, quirky, and high-energy style, we also have the unexpected like a Broomball tournament, Ice Jug Curling, Wassailing, and even Drone Racing! Inside where it’s warm, you can relax and take part in a Beer Quiz at the Blackback Pub, the Game Show at the American Legion, or a Vermont-made comedy film at the Grange Hall Cultural Center. Kids can heat up outside at events like the Youth Snow Soccer game, and the Family Skate at the Opening Ceremonies with Elsa and Anna from Frozen II.

Whether you’re in the mood to play outdoors, listen to music, socialize with friends and family, or simply spectate, we’ve got you covered. During this 10-day festival you’ll have lots of opportunities to join the festivities and discover the best of Waterbury.

Visit WaterburyWinterfest.com for a complete list of events and details. Although most events are free or by donation, you’ll be able to register, and purchase tickets for premiere events. We look forward to seeing you!
