By Rockin’ Ron Carter. Being in Vermont – you gotta LOVE WINTER! Of course there’s snowboarding, skiing, cross country skiing, and snowshoeing at Stowe Mountain Resort, Smugglers’ Notch Resort, and Trapp Family Lodge, but there are other places to find winter fun – outside and inside!!
If you’re an Art Lover, there are several Galleries in the area that you can visit such as Visions of Vermont and the Bryan Gallery in Jeffersonville, The Current in Stowe, and the Vermont Studio Center in Johnson.
Then it’s time for the Climbing Wall, Inflate-ables, Laser Tag, Arcade Games and more at the FunZone 2.0 at Smgglers’ Notc Resort, bowling at Stowe Bowl, and swimming, at where else, but Stowe’s Swimming Hole!
In addition to the Trapp Family Lodge and Smugglers’ Notch Resort’s Nordic Center, you can cross country ski or snowshoe on the Lamoille Valley Rail Trail, in the Notch (Vermont Route 108 is closed to car and truck traffic in the winter), and elsewhere.
There really is a lot to experience in Winter, especially in our corner of Vermont. Another great source for area information is Go Stowe. We hope you LOVE Winter as much as we do!
