As you travel along Green Mountain Byway you will feel that fall is in the air and the leaves are starting to turn. There are so many events happening through this fall foliage season, outdoor markets, fairs, apple picking and more.
One stop you don’t want to miss is RocktoberFest in downtown Morrisville on September 24th. This all-day street festival features live music beginning with Morristown’s elementary and middle level chorus classes singing followed by Cookies Hot Club Band and ending the day with Soulstice. Come for the face painting, chair-art-able auction, food, crafts, No Strings Marionettes shows, dance academy performances or just to enjoy a day in downtown Morrisville. There will be something for everyone.
While you are out and about over the next couple of weeks take some time to wander the back roads. The Green Mountain Byway had some of the most spectacular views around. From Waterbury to Cambridge, you can see the beautiful ranges and village views. Bring you bike along and enjoy a ride on Lamoille Valley Rail Trail or rent one throughout the many towns.
Take time to enjoy Green Mountain Byway.
